our story

Five years ago, while wandering through the lonely world of Tinder, David stumbled upon the beautiful Nga’s profile. He immediately knew there was something special about her, so with a shaky thumb, he nervously swiped up on his phone, Super Liking her profile—the ultimate romantic gesture of the 21st century.

Nga was a popular girl on the app, so it took a lot for someone to stand out. But David's goofy charm caught her attention. The two quickly hit it off and began a whirlwind romance, which brought them to Pu Luong just three months later. There, David, unable to control himself, blurted out “I love you,” leaving Nga bewildered but flattered, unsure of what to say.

Soon after, Hanoi was impacted by Covid. Afraid of being unable to see each other, the pair decided to secretly move in together against her father’s wishes (please don't translate this part, Nga). Spending the next long period in lockdown and working from home was a baptism of fire—one that many young couples couldn’t have survived. But they made it through and, since then, have not been able to imagine a life without each other.

Fast forward to 2024: we are still here, stronger mentally than ever—though not quite as strong physically, as our 30s have taken a toll on us. David dragged Nga back to Pu Luong, where he finally plucked up the courage to ask her to marry him. This time, she responded positively and said “I do!” And that’s what has brought us—and you—to this moment.

We hope you’ll celebrate this long-awaited occasion with us, in the same place where it all began!
